Bomet county is a county based in the former Rift Valley province. It borders Narok, Kisii, Nakuru and Kericho counties. The county is one of the 10 most corrupt counties in Kenya. In the F/Y 2022/23, the county spent KES 127,399,706 to construct 29 boda boda shades. This means that the county spent KES 4,393,093 to construct each boda boda shade.For comparison purposes, A classroom costs a maximum of KES 1,500,000 to construct. In another instance, the county spent KES 15,662,483 MILLION to renovate/construct 9 cattle dips. This means that each cattle dip cost KES 1,740,275 MILLION.
