Busia County is the gateway to East Africa. It suffers from corrupt practices by its staff. The county does not have a fire engine nor a fire station. It does not have an ambulance and the citizens of this county are forced to seek for health services across the border in Uganda. Just like its neighbour Siaya county, Busia county people have never seen nor tasted the fruits of devolution. Investors wiling to put up projects and investments within the county always face myriad of bottlenecks meant to frustrate them so that they can be extorted.
